Microbial Allies – Bacteria & Fungi

1. Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria

Azospirillum spp.
– Fixes atmospheric nitrogen and boosts root growth and early vigour, especially in cereals and grasses.

Azotobacter spp.
– Free-living nitrogen fixer that also produces growth-promoting hormones to help roots and shoots.

Rhizobium spp.
– Symbiotic nitrogen fixer for legumes; forms nodules on roots and supplies plant-available N.

2. Phosphate-Solubilising Bacteria

Bacillus megaterium (var. phosphaticum)
– Unlocks insoluble phosphorus in the soil and converts it into plant-available forms.

Pseudomonas striata
– Solubilises bound phosphorus in the rhizosphere, improving root access to P.

3. Potash-Mobilising Bacteria

Frateuria aurentia
– Mobilises locked-up potassium (K) in the soil, improving K availability and crop quality.

4. Biocontrol & Plant-Protection Bacteria

Pseudomonas fluorescens
– Suppresses soil and root diseases; supports healthier root systems and rhizosphere balance.

Bacillus subtilis
– Strong biocontrol bacterium that protects roots and foliage from a range of fungal diseases.

Bacillus pumilus
– Known for foliar disease suppression and improved leaf health.

Streptomyces lydicus
– Actinomycete that helps control soil-borne pathogens and supports robust root growth.

5. Beneficial & Biocontrol Fungi

Trichoderma viride
– Attacks harmful fungi in the root zone, protecting roots and stimulating new root growth.

Trichoderma harzianum
– Powerful biocontrol fungus that suppresses soil-borne diseases and improves plant resilience.

Paecilomyces lilacinus
– Targets and reduces root-knot nematodes and other plant-parasitic nematodes.

Beauveria bassiana
– Entomopathogenic fungus that infects and kills a wide range of insect pests.

Metarhizium anisopliae
– Soil-dwelling entomopathogenic fungus for controlling insect pests in and around the root zone.

Verticillium lecanii
– Effective against soft-bodied insects like aphids, whiteflies and some scale.

Paecilomyces fumosoroseus
– Entomopathogenic fungus used to manage pests such as whiteflies and thrips.

6. Mycorrhizal Fungi (VAM – Arbuscular Mycorrhizae)

Glomus intraradices
– Extends the root system, improving uptake of water, phosphorus and key micronutrients.

Glomus aggregatum
– Enhances nutrient efficiency, particularly P and trace elements, and improves plant vigour.

Glomus fasciculatum
– Increases drought tolerance and nutrient uptake; supports dense, fibrous root systems.

Glomus clarum
– Boosts overall root development, yield potential and resilience under stress.

Soil Amendments & Biostimulants in Our BioFarmacy

Alongside live microbes, we use targeted amendments and biostimulants to feed biology, buffer stress and improve soil structure.

Zeolite
– High cation exchange mineral that holds nutrients and water in the root zone, reducing leaching and improving fertiliser efficiency.

Vinasse (Biofood Vinasse)
– A rich carbon source that feeds beneficial microbes and improves soil biological activity.

Glycine Betaine
– Osmoprotectant that helps plants tolerate heat, drought and salinity stress.

90% Plant Available Silicon 
– Strengthens cell walls, improves lodging resistance and can reduce disease and insect damage.

Triacontanol (Yielder Biostimulant)
– Powerful plant growth regulator that boosts photosynthesis, branching and yield formation.
